The Russell Klein Memorial Award honors one outstanding master’s student and one outstanding Ph.D. student who displays the virtues of Dr. Klein: exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service to others.

It will also emphasize the importance of scientific investigations to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and value of these products for health promotion and disease prevention as well as how to carry out this type of research.

The inaugural ‘We Grow Scientists’ event will be May 3rd, 2023, from 3-7pm at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. This is an afternoon of hands-on learning, wagon tours, and activities showcasing the capacity of the college. The primary objective is to promote the many STEM fields CFAES has to offer, while also showcasing the Waterman facilities and the new Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex (CEARC). Foods for Health will have a table at this event.
